Vulcanised splice
A conveyor belt joint made by stepping the plies and curing new rubber under heat and pressure.
Stronger and longer-lasting than a mechanical splice, and the preferred joint for high-tension belts. Requires a press and shutdown time; mechanical fasteners are used where neither is available.
