Cover grade
The rubber compound of a belt's top and bottom covers, set by a grade letter or class.
Grade N is general abrasion duty; grade M is a tougher cut-and-gouge compound; other grades cover heat, oil and fire resistance. Chosen by the dominant wear mechanism on the belt being replaced.
